Nora: revolution as a simulacrum. On the issue of genre features of E. Jelinek's "secondary drama"

The article deals with the genre features of "secondary drama" ("Sekundärdrama") of Elfrida Jelinek on the example of the play "What Happened after Nora Left Her Husband; or Pillars of Society" as well as with the phenomenon of impossibility of both female and personal revolution in the context of gender and economic limiting factors. The structure of the "secondary drama", in which the "original " is framed by a work based on it, reinforces the parallel between two female characters. Hence, we can see the contrast between Nora by H. Ibsen, who goes from being locked up in an illusory happy family theater to a free woman, thereby making a revolution, and "new" Nora, who veers within a closed set of pre-existing roles offered to her by a patriarchal society.
