Interference of first and second foreign languages in teaching language for special purposes

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of language interference which occurs when teaching English as the second foreign language for students who study French. The authors focus on the factors increasing the effectiveness of the education process and analyze the emerging problems. The results of the research demonstrate that the methodology for the second foreign language teaching should take into account the transfer of speech, language and general educational skills from the first foreign language by integrating specially selected exercises on lexis development into the learning process.
