English varieties have become legitimate languages of its speakers and have become markers of their identities. Forms of address, one of the most integral constituents of the speech etiquette, are the reflection of the cultural peculiarities of the speakers of the former since among the functions of vocatives are toattract attention of the person one wants to speak to, to express the addresser's attitude to the addressee, to remind of the spiritual relations between the speakers, to empathize the speakers' professional status, and many others. The article presents analysis of the forms of address used in Malaysian variety of the English language which are sure to reflect a Malay's national identity.
