Methodic principles and criteria of selecting of texts for teaching German as the third foreign languages. Levels A1-A2

In this article, the author analyzes the specifics of teaching German as the third foreign language in a university and highlights the characteristics of the teaching process in that particular didactic context. The author justifies the necessity of creation of a special textbook for teaching German as the third foreign language, as well as describes the general methodic approach to the creation of such book. The textbook bases on the principles of socio-cultural approach to the co-learning of languages and cultures. In accordance with those principles, the author emphasized the criteria of selecting of authentic texts for the book.
