Geospatial images in the traditional culture of northern Tungus

Alekseeva Evdokia   (Institute of Humanities Research and Indigenous Studies of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences)

The article on the basis of ethnographic and field materials highlights the geospatial images of the Evens and Evenks. It is shown that the objects of the geo-landscape (mountains, rivers) reveal their original mental map of space. The development of vast territories of Siberia contributed to the formation of a special world view of the Tungus, worldview, the formation of a unique picture of the world.
