The ways of linguistic borrowing and etymology of cognate words

The article deals with the etymology of the words “magazine” kaznachej (“store”), “kazna” (“treasury”), “kaznachej” (“treasurer”), which came to the Russian language in different ways from the Arabic language. It is found that these words go up to the same source and they are cognate words. Different ways of linguistic borrowing led to the differences in their phonetic and morphology.
