The article actualizes the problem of humanization of natural science knowledge and approaches to its teaching in high school. The author considers aspects of this problem in the context of teaching physics. The humanization of teaching physics to high school students is predetermined by the conceptual aspects of the new educational paradigm and socio-economic transformations that necessitate a new understanding of the potential of physics as an academic subject. The article presents the main requirements of modernity to the level of self-development of the personality and its ability to self-productive production, based on an understanding of the natural-science picture of the world. The author sees these opportunities in the potential of physics as an academic subject, within which the general cultural, integrative and interdisciplinary approaches are implemented, which are considered by many scientists to be fundamental from the standpoint of trends in the humanization of education. The work also touched upon the problem of personal self-development of high school students in the conditions of the region, which becomes the main imperative of the content part of physics as an academic discipline. Proceeding from this, the author reveals the potential for the formation of vocational guidance competencies of students, their professional self-determination and initial professional self-realization, carried out on the basis of approaches to humanize the teaching of physics as a link in the disclosure of the creative and cognitive abilities of the individual, integrated in the process of vital activity universal laws, patterns, properties of processes and phenomena that lie x in the plane of science knowledge. The author reveals the conditions of pedagogical support for the humanization of teaching physics in high school, which he revealed in the framework of innovative pedagogical approaches that actualize the self-development and self-actualization of the individual in the modern world.
