Varieties of social networks in education

Ivkina Marina Igorevna  (teacher of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia)

The article is devoted to the method of using social networks in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Social networks, or Social Media, are a new form of distance learning in the context of Smart Education, and therefore we assume that the use of social platforms has a positive effect on the performance of foreign students in developing communication skills. In the article we dwell on the main features and functions of social networks in teaching Russian as a foreign language and divide social networks according to the types of presentation of information in the educational process.
