In this paper, the effectiveness of the use of information technologies in the process of teaching mathematics in higher education institutions of technological profile is justified on the example of the introduction of Mathematica computer mathematical systems. The main advantages of using computer mathematical systems over the use of traditional teaching methods are analyzed and substantiated. The materials of empirical research are given. Also, the modern educational tasks due to the process of informatization of education are considered.
