Metrostroy on the restoration of railway tunnels during the great Patriotic war

The purpose of the article is to highlight the problem of participation of employees of Metrostroy in the restoration of railway tunnels during the great Patriotic war. The study is based on the analysis of archival materials, periodicals, memoirs and historiography, which summarizes the scattered information on this problem. The author comes to the conclusion that the employees of Metrostroy made a significant contribution to the restoration of the railway economy destroyed by the war, thus providing reliable communications both for the transportation of military goods and for the restoration of the national economy of the liberated regions of the country.
