The article is devoted to the topical problem of studying the feature media text. The peculiarities of the concept of “media text”, the typology of the media text, its functioning are considered. The research novelty is in the attempt of the analysis of the characteristics of the English-language media text and the linguistic stylistic means used in it. Attention is paid to stylistic techniques and expressive language means at various levels. The results have shown that image and evaluation characteristics are expressed both explicitly and implicitly.
