The conditions for the transfer of humorous effect in the translation

The article deals with one of the most difficult problems – humour translation. The author doesn`t hold a theory of humour untranslatability in the frame of literary text and illustrates the possibility of functional transference with the help of some parameters. The main method which is applied in the paper is continuous sampling method and the method of comparative analysis of the original text and its translation. Some macro parameters which are necessary to take into account (function, language, idiostyle and recipient) allow a translator to create the conditions for successful humour translation.
