The article describes one of the aspects of the result of the first stage of the study “Modeling event networks for heterogeneous communities in the international educational space”. It consists in determining methodological approaches to the study of the relevant practice of the teaching staff of the CIS member states. The theoretical basis of the project was constituted by such aspects of the humanitarian-anthropological methodology as axiological and synergetic approaches, taking into account the multifactorial regional specificity of network participants. The principles of studying the process of modeling networks of educational events were determined. These include the principles of the inextricable connection of pedagogical science and practice; taking into account the humanitarian nature of the pedagogical phenomenon; environmental friendliness; nature and cultural diversity; supporting proactive action; hermeneutic and the principle of constant communication of all aspects of the research that ensures it; as well as the sociopractical principle.
