The physical development of male students 18-20 years old, studying at the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, located in the Far North of Russia, was investigated in this article. It was shown that indicators of body weight and body length correspond to regional standards developed for the population of the Far North. Evaluation of morphological and functional characteristics indicate the poor development of some physical qualities of students in comparison with general standards.
