On Jiang Zemin’s diplomatic course

The article examines the features of the diplomatic course of the third generation leader Jiang Zemin. Unlike Mao Tse-Tung (Máo Zédōng), who adhered to the idea of China-centrism, Jiang Zemin (Jiāng Zémín) clearly shows a desire to "embed" China in the emerging new world order. Adhering to the diplomatic course of "openness" chosen by the second-generation leader Deng Xiaoping (Dèng Xiăopíng), Jiang Zemin (Jiāng Zémín), however, interprets it in his own way, in accordance with the changing international situation.
