The article is about the development of modern English. The objective of this work was to analyze the integration and disintegration processes taking place in modern English, and to determine the vector of its further development. Taking English language in Asia as an example, it is shown that English is no longer the colonizers’ language in the developing countries, but, on the contrary, in its regional variants it is called to unite peoples previously divided by languages. The result of such a union can be a single supranational variant of the English language in Asia which will contribute to the development of interethnic communication and to the maintenance of its speakers’ national identity.
