Certain aspects of formation of the semantic content of texts in institutional discourses are discussed in the article. The article demonstrates the dependence of texts on extralinguistic factors which influence the process of interpretation. The article shows that language units implementing their pragmatic potential are encompassed within specific texts, however, textual updating of values a) is subordinate to the author’s goals and objectives in a specific situation, b) depends on the recipient factor in the frames of institutional discourses.
