Construction of the defense front in 1941–1942 (according to the documents of the State Defense Committee)

The article presents an analysis of the documents of the State Defense Committee on defensive construction in 1941-1942. The construction of defensive lines is a little-studied topic in the history of the Great Patriotic War. Resolutions of the State Defense Committee are one of the most important sources for studying defensive construction, including in the rear regions of the USSR. According to these documents, it is possible in chronological order to recreate the picture of the deployment of military field constructions. They contain information about the geography of the construction of boundaries, the timing of construction.
