«Й». What was hidden in it by our ancestors?

The article addresses the story of the birth and linguistic development of the letter «Й». The author analyses a set of historical events which let to its existence including linguistic storms and flat calms forming it. One of the most interesting points of the article is the way how the letter «Й» can change the meaning of words. Its secret has not been revealed yet and according to the author’s anticipation is not going to be revealed in the near future.
