The paper describes the activities of the Yenissey governorate Medical Society in the space of the first ten-year period of its functioning. The results of the work of the surgical hospital, the first feldsher's school for women and doctors’ pharmacy are summarized; the main issues are underlined that concern medical practice in the Siberian territory.
