Studying realia in the context of translators’ professional training

the article considers the possibility to use authentic texts with realia for didactic purposes in the context of translators’ professional training. The author defines the functions of authentic texts which enhance the development of translators’ socio-cultural competence and intercultural communication. The paper gives several exercises with authentic texts and realia.
