The article describes the lexical and semantic features of the thematic group of names of meat dishes and products in the Khakass language, using materials from other Turkic and Mongolian languages. In the names of meat dishes and products, almost all the names make up the General Turkic vocabulary. In Khakass cooking, there are about twenty dishes made from meat products. The word formation of these terms uses syntactic and morphological methods. The names of dishes are dominated by a motivational sign, which is based on the transfer of the main value to the secondary, followed by terms that are based on indications of the purpose for a particular process. Many terms are given with examples from Khakass literature and folklore.
