This article is devoted to a comparative cognitive study of metaphors with the source sphere "unliving nature", functioning in the Russian and Chinese political discourse of the media. In this work, an attempt is made to generalize the complex theory of metaphor in order to explore the specifics of the metaphorical representation of the political space in the political discourse of the media in Russia and China.
