Russian intellectual in the era of social upheavals: N.S. Karinsky (1873–1949)

For the first time in Russian historiography, the article examines the life and work of Nikolai Sergeyevich Karinsky (1873–1949), a prominent lawyer of the pre-revolutionary era who played a significant role in the events of 1917 and the Russian Civil war. In exile, he created an extensive memoir legacy, which has not yet been introduced into scientific circulation.
