This article is devoted to substantiating the importance and effectiveness of the introduction of online learning in the Russian higher education system, analyzing the advantages, disadvantages, and opportunities of e-learning in the time of crisis. The authors also address the issue of the development of startups during the pandemic and crisis situations. The article includes proposals for academic institutions aimed at solving the problems associated with the introduction of online learning.
