The article discusses the features of the WorldSkills Russia (WSR) movement as one of the main vectors of the development of the secondary vocational education system. The authors studied the content aspects of the WorldSkills youth movement, identified the main goal and stages of the "young professionals" championship, analyzed the impact of WorldSkills on the professional development and motivation of students. The importance of implementing WorldSkills Russia standards is noted. The importance of professional and scientific student competitions is considered, using the example of BASC, which allows you to clearly see how clearly education follows modern technologies. Possible ways of improving the management of the vocational education system at the regional level are proposed. As a result of the study, it is shown that the introduction of international Worldskills Russia standards into the educational process creates conditions for the development of student's creative abilities, forms orientation skills in the information environment, promotes the development of professional thinking and increases the responsibility of students for the work performed.
