The article presents the results of the study of the formation of the professional orientation of students of a pedagogical university under the influence of educational programs of the pedagogical direction of training. The urgency and significance of this problem is substantiated from the point of view of professional self-determination and the formation of the personality of a future teacher. The formation of the professional orientation of a student of a pedagogical profile is understood as a process of development and self-development in the course of mastering professional competencies, solving pedagogical problems in the process of learning and practice. The formation of a professional orientation is interpreted as a quantitative and qualitative change in the psychological characteristics of a person associated with the performance of various actions in the process of professional activity and training [3]. It is also a dynamic process of the formation of the psychological properties of a person, manifested in the formation of interest in pedagogical activity, in the mastery of professionally important and socially significant qualities. In this work, we tried to find out what is the influence of training and practice of professional activity on the formation of a professional orientation among students of a pedagogical training profile.
