Phraseological units with somatic component "dast" in Modern Persian: semantic features and symbolic meaning

This article discusses the phraseological units with somatic component “dast” (“hand”) in Modern Persian. The etymology of this unit is observed and semantic volume is clarified. The obtained data are divided into groups of symbolic meaning in Modern Persian, for each group examples are provided. Special attention is paid to the comparison of Russian and Persian somatic phraseological units.
