Activities of the officer artillery school on the preparation of artillery commanders on the eve and during the First World War

The article highlights the experience of training artillery commanders in Russia at the artillery officer school on the eve and during the First World War. How the training took place, what were the training periods and their time frames. Analysis of the work carried out during training and their role in the training of commanders. The article also describes which units were involved and for what purposes, what documents regulated the preparation and who published them. In addition, on the day of the outbreak of the First World War, School classes were discontinued. All the variable and permanent staff, with the exception of a small administrative staff, were seconded to the active army, which also affected the training of commanders. All the subtleties are set out for the reader's deep understanding of what happened in those difficult times.
