The concept "child" in the Russian, English and Chinese language consciousness

The article is devoted to the characteristics of the concept CHILD in Russian, English and Chinese. The research material is 288 proverbs. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the comparative characteristics of proverbs with the word «CHILD, CHILDREN» in the linguistic consciousness of the three countries. The author singled out the main thematic meanings of the concept CHILD: upbringing, relations between parents and children, a sense of duty, spirituality, obedience, care, fate. The author comes to the conclusion that the child must be obedient, hardworking, educated, feel his duty to his parents, be spiritually filled and take care of others.
