On the issue of the development of evaluation tools for assessing the professional competencies of teachers that form the functional literacy of students

The article actualizes the problem of identifying the professional competencies of teachers that form the functional literacy of students. The purpose of the study is to develop methodological recommendations and, based on them, evaluation tools that can be used to identify the levels of professional competencies of teachers that form the functional literacy of students. The authors consider the essence of the concept of "functional literacy", note its components. The assessment of competencies is offered in two stages, including theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is represented by electronic testing, which includes 30 test tasks of psychological, pedagogical and subject-methodical content. The practical part consists of subject-methodical cases. The authors emphasize that all tasks should correspond to the requirements of the professional standard (with labor functions and labor actions). The article provides examples of tasks. The theoretical significance of the study is determined by the enrichment of the idea of assessing the professional competencies of teachers that form the functional literacy of students. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of methodological recommendations and, based on them, evaluation tools to identify the levels of formation of professional competencies of teachers.
