The article dwells on the problem of knowledge representation structures and procedures of their processing as well as the nature of procedures regulating language perception; categories of meaning, sense, conceptual content of cognitive units which as such form perception of the word by man and are an integral part of concepts, cognitive schemes (frames), scenarios (episodes), prototypes, etc. The authors also attempt to bridge the gap between fruitful ideas of the past and today discussions.
