The use of ICT in a teacher's professional work

The article is devoted to describing the use of information and communication technologies in the professional activities of a teacher. The purpose of the article is to consider the advantages and disadvantages of using ICT in the professional activity of a teacher, as well as the possibilities of using ICT in the classroom. The authors draws attention to the need to follow the sanitary and epidemiological requirements when demonstrating ICT, because exceeding permissible norms can negatively affect the health of schoolchildren. The paper presents positive characteristics and negative consequences of the use of ICTs. The authors concludes that ICT competency of a teacher is an indicator of professionalism and is manifested not only in knowledge of information technology, but also in its rational use at school lessons.
