The purpose of this article is to consider the performance interpretation of the part of Georges Germont from the opera "La Traviata" by the Italian composer G. Verdi by the Chinese baritone Liao Changyong. The author of the work notes that Liao Changyong managed to embody in his performance not only the author's intention, but also to give the party a bright originality and individuality. The article briefly recreates the content and compositional features of the opera. The work reflects some of the performance and creative techniques of the Chinese singer (work with the power of the voice, singing intonations, special dramaturgy, considering the experience of predecessors, improving the pronunciation skills of the Italian language), which influence the interpretation of the evolution of the image of Georges Germont from the opera by G. Verdi. Such an approach to preparing the performance of the part of the protagonist of "La Traviata" allowed the singer to convey the features of the character of the opera very accurately, to have a great influence on the audience. The results of the analysis reflect the scale of Liao Changyong's talent, his colossal work on his own performing style. This successful experience can be effectively used by modern vocal teachers as methodological actions to develop the performing culture of future opera singers.
