The article discusses the need for the implementation of cultural courses at school. The existing relations in society create a number of difficulties for the development of the student's personality as a cultured person. Due to the insufficient formation of the basic culture, young people cannot find an adequate satisfaction of their needs in the ideal and beauty, replacing many values. Education, interpreted as familiarization with the cultural heritage, cultural self-identification of the individual, determines the choice of adequate ways and methods of cognition of reality based on personal and social needs. The creation of a culture-oriented society will contribute to the preservation of cultural traditions, as well as act as a guarantor of a unified and healthy society. For the logical implementation of cultural and philosophical courses in the education system, it is necessary to take into account a number of important and fundamental principles: multiculturalism; consistency and historicism; tolerance; integrity; subjectivity. The implementation of culturological disciplines in the system of school education can largely remove the problems associated with a misunderstanding of socio-cultural tolerance and confessional intolerance.
Keywords:students, education system, cultural approach, teaching methods, tolerance.
