In the article present the positions of the principle grammar theories are subject to inspection and thorough analysis. The range of the research paradigms is wide – from the semantic syntax and the Universal Grammar by the Generativist approach towards the Grammar of Constructions and the most recent bio-cognitive approach. Thus, the article presents an overall evolutionary theory of the linguistic approaches towards the structure of the sentence as the principle language unit. The article presents an analysis of the main principles of the traditional theories There is a vast analysis of the traditional approaches towards grammar as well as the dynamics of grammatical studies. As the result of the grammar research, the aurger suggests convergence of the Construction Grammar with the Bio-semiotic approach towards the positions of the latter to consider the language in the same flow as the construtivist theory.
