Urbanolects of the German language: features of functioning and problems of translation

The article is concerned with the study of the features of urbanolects (an urban language) and the analysis of methods for translating urbanolects from German into Russian. A brief review of works concerned with the study of urbanolects is given. The ways of the translation are analyzed on the material of song texts of famous German singers. In the article, the most frequent ways of urbanolects translating were identified, examples are given.
