Contrasting representation of the USA economic situation in official and opposition discourses during the economic crisis of 2022

The purpose of this study is to study the linguistic means used by American politicians to implement political modalization in the process of creating images of states, including in times of crisis. The work is devoted to the study of the contrasting representation of the economic situation in the United States as a component of the auto-image of the state in the discourse of representatives of the official authorities and their opponents. The scientific novelty consists in conducting a comparative analysis of the economic component of the image of the state in the discourses of one country opposing each other. The relevance of the research topic is due to the significant influence of politics and its processes on the life of the individual and society as a whole. The political discourse built up by politicians in the course of their political activities becomes the focus of attention of scientists of various fields - linguists, political scientists, psychologists, etc., and the images relayed by them are one of the most powerful means of manipulating the masses.
