The presented research is devoted to the analysis of the traditional and innovative methods in teaching English.The purpose of the research is to find out any prerequisites of the practice of applying methods in teaching, their classification.The methodology of the research is based on the analysis of the general and specific ways of the issues of the research, and also factual, retrospective and advanced views on the issues of the process of applying methods of teaching English.The conclusion is drawn that the application of informative and communication technologies in future, digital didactics is objectively make the necessity of thinking over the modern processes of pedagogical activity of a teacher.
