Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a complex of mental and somatic symptoms that appear in women a few days before the onset of menstruation. The researchers note that in patients with PMS, the ability to adapt to the manifestations of the disease and social activities (at work, in life) is significantly impaired. They are characterized by frequent unjustified mood swings, aggressiveness and increased conflict, depression. All this significantly violates the quality of a woman's life. In this paper, the methods of combating PMS are disclosed and analyzed how effective yoga therapy classes are in reducing the level of manifestations of PMS symptoms in girls aged 18-22. The purpose of the study: to develop a method of yoga therapy to reduce the symptoms of PMS in accordance with the form of manifestation. Methodology and organization of the study: The experiment was conducted on the basis of the Federal State Educational Institution of the UGMU of Yekaterinburg from February 2021 to April 2022. 66 girls aged 18 to 22 years took part in the experiment. Classes were held three times a week for 40-45 minutes - one lesson in full-time format, two online. The girls had a questionnaire to identify the form of PMS manifestation. To assess the clinical characteristics of pain symptoms, we used Rudolf Musa's menstrual distress questionnaire.
According to the results of the questionnaire, it was revealed that most of the most pronounced symptoms relate to the neuropsychic form, it was decided to use the "fractional shavasana" protocol when compiling an experimental complex.
The conducted research showed that the complex developed by us turned out to be the most effective in reducing such symptoms of PMS as negative affectation and changes in behavior, which is undoubtedly a positive moment in working on this issue.
