The influence of genre and stylistic features of the text on its perception

This article is devoted to the issue of the influence of the genre and style of the text on its perception by a foreign recipient, as well as ways to transform the stylistic, lexical, grammatical and syntactic features of the text for its adequate interpretation by the target audience. As a practical material, a popular science type of text devoted to temple architecture and its translation into a foreign language is considered. The conclusions given in this article may be of practical interest to beginners in the field of philology and translation studies.
