Peculiarities of Rean Croquiel’s portrait documentary

The relevance of the study of the portrait documentary peculiarities is of certain interest because at present there is no generalized scientific work on the theory and history of portrait documentary and Rean Croquiel’s creative work has not been studied in detail. The purpose of this article is to study the essence of portrait documentary by Rean Croquiel’s example work. To achieve the objective, the following tasks were set: 1) to consider the history of portrait documentary; 2) to discover the portrait documentary peculiarities; 3) to study the French portraitist’s art; 4) to analyze the project “Eyes are the mirror of the soul”. The author focuses on the analysis and specifics of portrait documentary, which depicts various events in its true value, without artistic processing and fiction.
