the special artistic space constructed by M. Elizarov in the novel "Earth" is a completely specific phenomenon that is not typical of any established stylistic trends. In the course of the study, the artistic space of the novel was divided into metaphysical and naturalistic, and the specific aesthetic principles of their creation were also identified, covering the treatment of artistic detail and the specifics of the language. A separate part of the article is devoted to the interdimensional connection, conventionally designated by the term "media discourse", which is the aggregation of all objects of art included in the text both as playable intermedial components and as realities that isolatedly determine the semantic plan of the novel. This dual approach provides a simultaneous convergence with the naturalistic and postmodernist traditions.
Keywords:media discourse, cultural space, naturalism, intermediality, thanatological motifs
