The aim of this study is to analyze the application of health-saving technologies in physical education teaching. The material basis of the study was based on the works of the following authors: E.V. Khromin, L.F. Tikhomirova, S.S. Sultanov, V.A. Sukhomlinsky, E.A. Krapivina, E.V. Bondarevskaya and others. The following conclusions are drawn as a result. Factors slowing down the introduction of health-saving technologies in physical education teaching: teachers do not fully understand the meaning of the term "humanization", therefore it is replaced by "humanitarization"; literal adherence to the requirements of FSES to the detriment of students' health; the younger generation shows indifferent attitude to physical education; lack of material base and infrastructure of the appropriate level at universities and schools. The fact that health-saving technologies demonstrate a character of effectiveness within the framework of physical education teaching is confirmed by the study conducted by R.S. Bekirova and R.V. Kalashnikova. Almost all the respondents (who did fitness yoga in physical education classes) observed improvements in themselves and expressed their willingness to continue.
