ANALYSIS OF TYPICAL MISTAKES MADE BY STUDENTS IN THE STUDY OF PROBABILITY THEORY

The article analyzes the most typical mistakes made by students studying the course in probability theory. It considers practical examples of avoiding mistakes in such sections as applying the traditional definition of probability and elements of combinatorics, using formulae of full probability and Bayes, in theorems Bernoulli, Poisson, Moivre- Laplace, as well as problems in which probability multiplication and addition theorems are applied. It is concluded that if to focus students' attention on these aspects, you can help them to overcome a lot of errors.
