SOCIO-POLITICAL ATMOSPHERE IN THE ROMAN REPUBLIC I CENTURY B.C. ON THE MATERIAL OF CICERO'S SPEECH PRO QUINCTIO

This article analyzes Cicero's speech "Pro Quinctio". The article explores the historical and political features of the Sullan dictatorship, mentioned in Cicero's speech. The purpose of this work is to identify social and political problems that faced society in the Sullan era, for compiling the overall picture, the historical-genetic method is used. As a result research highlighted a number of problems facing Sullan society, such as: the memory of the Marius`s terror, coexistence in the society the former companions of Marius and the current associates of Sulla and features of the judicial production in the era of the Sullan dictatorship.
