In this article, the authors consider the trade and economic relations that developed between Great Britain and the young Soviet Republic in the 20s of the twentieth century, and also reveal the problems of the creation and operation of the joint-stock company «Arkos». The beginning of the 1920s can be characterized by constant fluctuations in trade and economic terms between Great Britain and the Soviet Republic, which was the result of a dual policy on the part of the governments of both states.
