THE USE OF FRAME SEMANTICS TO PRACTICE LISTENING SKILLS

The article discusses a methodology for developing introductory and detailed listening skills with students of economic specialties with an A2 (Pre-Intermediate) level of English proficiency using frame semantics. It is proposed to use the construction of frames of the main concepts of economic news discourse to facilitate students' understanding of news messages perceived by ear. The frame structure of the most frequent news messages is given - messages about changes in economic indicators.
