The article investigates the study of an educational dictionary as a special type of lexicographic work, studying the principles of dictionary compilation, familiarizing with the peculiarities of teaching a professional foreign language, developing the macrostructure and microstructure of the dictionary. Collection and processing of material for the dictionary, compilation of dictionary articles in order to determine the optimal component content of the dictionary article of the linguocultural dictionary of phraseological euphemisms. The material of the study was 1500 units of everyday and socio-political euphemisms selected from the explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language. According to the results of the study, such issues as the amount of linguistic material, its representation, illustrative contexts and the need for linguocultural commentary should be solved when working on a teaching dictionary of euphemisms. The article proposes solutions to some of the issues in this list.
