USE OF THE INTERNET RESOURCES IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO IT STUDENTS

At the present stage of the development of higher education, various educational sites of the Internet network are actively introduced into the educational process. This article justifies the general principles and methodological guidelines that created the basis for the disclosure of the possibilities of using the Internet resources in the process of learning a foreign language by students studying the specialty "Information technology". Having characterized the Internet resources as a means of forming professionally oriented foreign language competence of future specialists in the field of information technologies and having conducted a questionnaire survey of students, allowing to determine the strategies of teaching English to future programmers, we came to the conclusion that the educational process should be built on the combination of traditional and digital forms and methods of teaching, which we have demonstrated with specific examples, having developed a methodology of teaching English to students of IT directions taking into account the use of the Internet resources.
